lib-ir: question about Dissociation

Jennifer Freyd has asked me to consider "linking"
the Dissociation journal in Scholars' Bank to PubMed
Central. However, in looking at the PubMed site, their
process for including journals in their database seems
fairly complex and I believe would require a significant
amount of work. Another issue of concern is that it
seems as if we would have to provide them digital files
according to their specifications, and not just send them
the metadata linking to our files.

While I can understand the desire of the scholarly
community to do one-stop shopping, I believe that the
resources required for this effort exceed what we can
put into it. I'm also wondering if it would be counter to
the interest of Scholars' Bank to pursue it, even if we
could afford to do so.

I'd appreciate hearing the thoughts of others in this group.
Perhaps I'm missing an easier option than what seems
to be outlined by NLM. I'm going to continue looking into
this, as well.
