I agree completely.  We don't want to describe this as archiving coursesites
in general, but I think this essentially amounts to archiving a (small) set
of web pages for these coursees that contain some of the static content the
course used.  In other words, it's the easy problem.

I also think that archiving the IMS package for a coursesite is a viable and
standards-based option.  It has the significant disadvantage that it is very
preservation-focused, since you need a course management system to "play"
the package, just as you'd need a copy of Mathematica to play an archived
mathematica notebook that you used in your course.
