lib-ir: Scholars' Bank updates
I am close to being done harvesting Inside Oregon.
I should finish today or tomorrow.
I met yesterday with Kathy Madison who is the current
editor of Inquiry. While we met, I set up a draft site
for that publication within Scholars' Bank and I have
harvested the first 2 issues. You can see this at:
https://scholarsbank.uoregon.edu/dspace/handle/1794/436
I also had a very productive meeting with Judith Musick of
CSWS. There are a number of collections that they want
to set up, in addition to the newsletter and the RIGs.
I will be working on getting a few of those set up later this
week.
Also, yesterday, a student from PPPM submitted a Terminal
project to Scholars' Bank. She submitted it to the wrong
collection but I caught it and fixed it easily (all open
collections are reviewed by me before anything is actually
deposited and made public.)
I was also contacted yesterday by the Grad School asking
for some minor wording changes on their community and
collection pages and was told that we'll soon begin discussing
the theses and dissertations (again).
I contacted the four students who won the Undergraduate
Library Research Awards about depositing their work in Scholars'
Bank - have heard back from one of them so far.
Law Library folks are continuing on their end to prepare for
promoting the archive with the Law School, as well as to
submit some of their own work in it. Mary Ann has been
very supportive.
Bill Harbaugh was back in touch this week about the
Economics Honors Theses. I think that collection should get
some submissions soon.
All told, a very profitable week for Scholars' Bank.
