lib-ir: Honors College & Scholars' Bank community and collection

Great news Carol!  I can encourage this when I talk with honors college students writing theses.

Today I set up the Clark Honors College and
the Honors Theses collection within in it.
Dennis Todd of the Honors College came
to my office and we established some
collection parameters and I walked him through
a fake submission. In the next week or two
he and his colleagues will be reviewing the
site I set up for them on Scholars' Bank,
deciding who else besides him will be
submitting to it, and making decisions about
their community's content guidelines.

Their preferred workflow is for the students
to submit their electronic files to them and
then to have a designated person within
CHC actually add the electronic files to
Scholar's Bank using the submission form.
This is actually the easiest process for us
to manage.

Dennis and I will be adding an actual
thesis in the next two weeks. After that,
CHC will be up and running on their
own - the very first community to do
self submission!

Take a look at the collection (still empty)
online and let me know what you think.

Carol
