lib-ir: PPPM Pilot update
I will be away at a conference next week so I here is my report on progress
with PPPM.

Terminal Projects:
Today, I received two terminal projects in electronic format from PPPM. I
uploaded one of the projects to the Terminal Projects collection. In doing
so, I decided to leave the abstract and description blank for the moment,
but I did add the sponsor information and subject words.
The other project I received involved a student working closing with the
City of Portland and Multnomah County and I believe we need to be a little
more cautious with this one (in light of many of the issues brough up by
JQ), and at least have a discussion in our group, before any submission is
started.
Also, one of the projects submitted included the same documentation in two
different formats, .pdf and .doc. Should we have any policy regarding saving
multiple (digital) formats of the same document if available?
Andre has told me he has another student "paper" that can be submitted, but
I dont believe it is a terminal project. I havent seen it yet, so I havent
been able to assess its suitability for the IR.

PPPM Faculty Submissions:
In a couple of email messages I have suggested and encouraged Andre, Scott
and Rich to submit their own work, but so far I havent had any takers. On
the other hand, Rich Margerum did write back to say that he had to leave
quickly to catch a flight to Europe and would be in touch again around July
18th. So he may be interested.

I believe that is all I have for now. I will be checking my email throughout
the next week if there are any questions.
