Faculty--Please encourage your advisees to take advantage of this.
Zudegi--Can you please forward this to the student listserv

PPPM students finishing your thesis/project:

The PPPM Department is working with the library on a trial program to create a digital archive through the Knight Library. If you would like to achieve fame, wealth and recognition you can submit your thesis/project in PDF format, which will then be archived and made available through the library. This means:
* people can find your work through any library or google search
* agencies, community members and others can access your work through the library
* employers, family members, friends and movie studios can see what you have been doing for the past 2 years

If everything goes well, this may become a requirement for all PPPM theses and projects. It is not required this year, but it is a great opportunity and I strongly encourage you to take advantage of it.

INSTRUCTIONS: The library is not set up yet to receive the electronic versions directly, so please follow these steps:
* Complete all of your changes to your final draft
* Save your file in pdf format (see http://ir.uoregon.edu/dspace-submit.html for instructions on how you can do this for free)
* Submit a copy of your pdf file on a floppy disk, zip disk or CD to Janie/Linda when you submit your thesis
* You will soon be published on the web (please wait 2-3 years for movie offers)

Cheers,
Rich
