I think we could be at a point where we could accept author-submission in say 1 week if we work on it.  Would that work for Rich?  If so, the next step is to test the procedures and see if they work, to put together a list of issues that still need to be addressed, etc.

 

My issues:

• We need to set up a support infrastructure for people who want help.  Should potential submittors contact libref@oregon, or some other location/service point?
• We need to revise the default copyright/license statement.
• We need to document how to fill out the metadata forms.  Use "previously published"?

I just received this email from Rich. I think the webpage that JQ wrote should answer the first two points, but "get it to the library" is still being gradually worked out by us. Is it too early to let Rich or PPPM students to try uploading the documents, or should I go ahead and do it for the students as part of our learning/documentation process. I expect that there will only be a few projects.
