lib-ir: meeting with Garcia Pabon

I met yesterday afternoon with Leonardo Garcia-Pabon,
as Associate Professor in Romance Languages. He is
very interested in the idea of an institutional repository
and thinks that much of his research and scholarship
could be placed there, especially things that are not
published or destined for publication in copyrighted
journals where he would have to sign away copyright.
For instance, conference papers, articles that he
writes for Latin American journals and newspapers,
and the like. He also thinks that a number of his
colleagues would  be interested and asked me
to write up something that he could discuss with them.
I will follow up on that in the next day or two.
