Blackboard is a web-based tool for teaching. It's easy to use both for faculty building an on-line course and for students. Blackboard can organize your class by hosting assignments, grades, discussion tools, course documents, and more. The Blackboard server can be found at http://blackboard.uoregon.edu.
If you're registered for a UO course using blackboard, we automatically set up an account for you. You can login using your UO email account login and password. Don't know your UO email account information? Visit http://micro.uoregon.edu/get_started.html to learn more about your account, or visit 151 McKenzie where Computing Center staff can assist you.
Make sure you're logging into http://blackboard.uoregon.edu, not http://blackboard.com. Also, please remember that your login and password on Blackboard are identical to your UO email account. You can get additional assistance by visiting the Knight or Science Library ITC.
Your account will be generated for you according to your enrollment status (you can check this in DuckWeb). If you are not enrolled in the class and need an account, please visit 151 McKenzie where Computing Center staff can assist you in setting up a UO email account. Once this is activated, you should be able to login to Blackboard using the login and password for your UO email account.
If it's a UO course, then you've been enrolled automatically. After logging into Blackboard, look under the "My Courses" heading. If your class is not on this list, and you've been registered for the class for more than 24 hours (please verify your enrollment on DuckWeb), contact your instructor to find out if the course is actually using Blackboard.
All students receive university administrative notices and course announcement's to their uoregon.edu accounts. You can find out your username by logging into DuckWeb.
The Blackboard system requires that your browser be configured correctly. Use the following page to ensure that your browser has the required plugins and features installed or enabled:
