Introduction

Jacob A. Bradford was an enlisted man in Company F, 2nd Regiment, Michigan Volunteer Cavalry. Most of the letters are to his wife in Greenville, Michigan.

The collection contains diaries and accounts, 1861-1864, and correspondence, 1861-1864. Also included are miscellaneous Bradford family papers, 1865-1908, and newspapers: Mobile Evening News (July 1, 1862), Mobile Advertisers and Register (July 7, 1862), and The Sunday Press (Nashville, TN, Aug. 2, 1863).
