JQ Johnson
Director
In addition to leading SCIS, JQ works closely with researchers and departments on scholarly communications, plus participates in a variety of library and campus technology initiatives. JQ's primary areas of expertise are in web publishing, the Blackboard system, network and communications software, copyright law, and scholarly communications. Tim Boshart
Blackboard Coordinator
Tim joined CET in 2005 to manage the UO's Blackboard learning management system and provide central support for the Blackboard software. He's also past president of the Northwest eLearning Community users group. When not working on Blackboard he'll usually be found stoking a steam locomotive or laying track.

TIm is also the most likely person to answer questions sent to our trouble ticketing system, blackboard@ithelp.uoregon.edu.

Scholarly Communications

The Scholarly Communications part of SCIS also depends heavily on the library's Scholarly Communications Initiative Group, and on teams of librarians engaged in implementing specific projects. As of September 2011, the Scholarly Communications Initiative Group consists of:
