About course reserves

Reserve provides controlled, ready access to items required for University of Oregon course readings or viewings. Reserve materials are located at the services desks at each of these libraries: AAA, Knight Reserves and Videos, Law, Math, OIMB, Portland Architecture, Science, and the Douglass Listening Room. Materials placed on reserve have shortened loan periods. Course reserves include syllabi, books, lecture notes, journal articles, class assignments, sample tests, videos, audio cassettes, and other relevant information to support classroom instruction.

Electronic Reserves (E-Reserves) are course materials that have been placed on the web so that students can use them at any time. Access to these materials is restricted to current UO students, faculty, and staff and may not be shared with others who are not current UO students and employees.

You can also see materials on reserve for your course by following a link in your Blackboard coursesite. The library's Blackboard course management system is used by most courses on campus for announcements, handouts, readings, assignments, and grades. For more information see Blackboard.
