Videoconferencing

The Library and Learning Commons supports videoconferencing for the UO Portland community. Videoconferencing is a real-time audio and visual connection between two physically distant locations.

White Stag offers several classrooms and conference rooms with videoconferencing equipment, as well as portable equipment that can be set up throughout the building.

Information and Scheduling

If you are a member of the UO community and would like to learn more about videoconferencing for meetings, classes, or other events, please contact Peter Gunn at 503-412-3743.

If you would like to request a videoconference session, please email pdxinfo@uoregon.edu with the date and time of your session, the number of people attending, the type of event, and the location you will be connecting to.  You will need to know the IP address of the remote location in order for us to connect, as well as contact information (cell phone and/or email) for the person facilitating the call at your end.  Please email well in advance to ensure availability.

For Specialists

We support compressed video and IP teleconferencing.

If you plan to share a computer screen "data connection," we will need to ensure your site is compatible with ours. Plan to schedule a test call with Peter Gunn at some time prior to the actual event.

Special arrangements will need to be made for ISDN connections.  Please contact Peter Gunn in advance of your event.
