  •  Patricia Oman is a Post-Doctoral Instructor in the English department at UO, where she teaches courses in film, literature, and composition. Her research interests include issues of space and place, especially regionalism, in Twentieth-century American film and literature. Currently she is working on two book projects: a monograph on the loss of place in Midwest literature, and film of the Twentieth century, titled “There’s No Place for Home,” and a co-edited collection of horror criticism titled “Where Horror Dwells.”
  • Erik Wade, a New York state native, is a graduate student in the English Department, studying early medieval literature and contemporary critical theory. He has written about Beowulf, Anglo-Saxon poetry generally, and psychoanalysis.  A closet film scholar, he earned admission to his medieval literature program on the strength of a writing sample about film and queer theory.
