Late Fall Financial Planning Meeting, to include CFOs, legal counsel, and library directors from founding depositors and potential hosts.
July Preparation for Financial Planning Meeting.

March Preliminary report received from Dill & Company.
January Reese Dill (Dill & Company) engaged as a consultant to review planning documents & site selection criteria; analyze shelving needs, and prepare construction and recurring budget estimates.
2004
December Cooperative Collection Development and Management Committee formed and charged to develop collection development policies governing an RLSC shared journal and reference set archive.
October Council reviews needs survey results, approves conceptual funding model, approves engagement of a building consultant, and charges Executive Director to convene a meeting of Founding Depositors to further develop a funding strategy.
  RLSC Task Force completes its charge.

May - August Task Force develops funding models.
March Task Force members visit Washington State University to discuss consortial use of a storage facility planned for Pullman, Washington.

October Council reviews RLSC Task Force progress report.
September Linfield College and Oregon Health & Science University submit responses to the Financial and Contractual Questionnaire.
July Capital Construction Advisory Group, Funding Strategies Meeting. Group develops concepts for inclusion in a Financial and Contractual Questionnaire for potential hosts sites.
  Council focuses site selection process on Linfield College and Oregon Health & Science University.
  Preserving America's Printed Resources conference, Center for Research Libraries, Chicago, ILL.
June Consultation with system vendor (Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) concerning potential inventory control functionality of INN-Reach union catalog software.
May Task Force visit to storage facilities in Minneapolis and Bloomington.
April Orbis Cascade Alliance is launched following the merger of Orbis and Cascade.
