NRE Train the Trainer workshops
Day 1: October 14
OCLC sponsored a full-day workshop to "Train the Trainer" for up to 10 core trainers from Orbis Cascade Alliance member library staff. In addition to the OCLC training team, OCLC project staff, Alliance staff, and the Migration Project I-Team also attended.
Day 2: October 15
Trainers, I-Team, Alliance and OCLC staff met for another entire day. The group convened as a whole at the beginning, middle, and end of the day. The remainder of the time was spent in two simultaneous activities:
- I-Team reviewed unresolved issues to discuss technical options, OCLC or Alliance software solutions, and/or Alliance work-around procedures.
- Trainers started planning for the regional training sessions, including handouts, a manual, video instructions to post on the web, and logistics such as time, place, and training teams.
