Leslie Bennett, Head, Music Services Department

Leslie Bennett is the music and dance librarian at the University of Oregon. She is the Head of the Music Services Department and is responsible for the development of the Music, Dance, and Douglass Room collections. She provides advanced reference service in music and dance. Other responsibilities include serving on various library-wide committees, as well as providing liaison with the School of Music and Dance.

Leslie Bennett works from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. For personalized reference service, contact her by telephone or e-mail to make an appointment.

Her office is Room 364 C (in the back of the Douglass Listening Room.)

Terry McQuilkin, Douglass Room Supervisor

Terry McQuilkin is the music services technician and the assistant to the head of Music Services. He oversees the daily operations at the Douglass Room service desk, hires and trains student assistants, processes materials for course reserves and supervises the shelving of books and scores in the Music Services area, as well as the department's audio collection. Terry McQuilkin also provides reference service during evening hours and in the absence of the music librarian. Along with the librarian, he maintains and updates the Music Services web page.

His hours in the library are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 12 pm to 9 pm; Wednesday and Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm

His office is Room 364 B (in the back of the Douglass Listening Room.)


Rebecca Belford, Music Librarian

Rebecca Belford is the music cataloger for UO Libraries. Her principal duties include original and copy cataloging of music materials, including music scores and audio recordings, and most of her work in this area is carried out in the Metadata Services and Digital Projects (MSDP) department. Rebecca also provides reference service at the Music Reference Desk. To contact Rebecca for appointments or extended reference:
