Oregon Composers

Purpose of this list:

This is intended to be a directory of all active professional composers in Oregon, past and present. It includes Oregonians who have works published or recorded, those who teach at colleges and universities in Oregon, those who are employed by musical ensembles, theater companies, religious congregations, etc., and those who have made a significant contribution to Oregon's cultural life through their creative work (evidenced by, for example, their inclusion in standard reference works, by continued press notice, or by a profusion of live or on-air performances of their music). The list also includes composers born in Oregon who now live elsewhere, composers who have spent a significant part of their creative lives in Oregon, and composers who received advanced degrees in music composition from postsecondary institutions in Oregon.
