Expanded Service and New Rates

In keeping with our dedication to improving and expanding our services, we are proud to announce our new service name, MAPRS (Map and Aerial Photography Aerial Research Service). We will be expanding our service to include research and duplication of our non-aerial cartographic materials such as Oregon topographic maps and Oregon nautical charts. On July 1, 2009 MAPRS implemented a new billing system and additional services. 

Starting May 3rd, 2010, we will be automatically adding a $10 fee to research requests submitted without a site map. The new fee is reflected in the latest copy of the MAPRS Request Form. Please download the new request form, and be sure to always include a site map with requests.

Please note:  we ask that the new request form be used for all new requests as of July 1.

Map and Aerial Research Rates

The new rates structure has changed from time based system to a per piece system. Note that in some cases under the new system, requests that yield fewer images will cost less because you will not be be charged for the extra time.
OUS patrons receive research free of charge. OUS patrons pay for duplication but receive a 20% discount off all duplication fees. Self service scanning is available for OUS members.
  • Set up fee: $20 
  • Custom research:  $75 / hour;  $20 minimum charge.   
  • Standard area of interest: $10 per image; $12-40 for larger areas of interest or hi resolution scans. Range spans up to 1 9x9 inch full frame @ 1800dpi color.
