• Center for Educational Technologies

  The CET supports faculty in integrating technology into teaching by providing individual consulting and training to UO faculty members and GTFs. Assistance is provided with multimedia, online communication and collaborative learning tools. In addition, the CET Interactive Media Group develops a range of full-service technology design and consulting solutions for faculty research and instructional use.

• Checkout/Information Desk

  The Checkout/Information Desk is where library users may check out materials from the general collections of the Knight Library, put campus cash on UO ID cards, register to borrow materials (for non UO patrons), discuss library fines and bills, and renew materials See Borrowing at the UO Libraries for more detail. This service desk is located near the north (main) entrances into the building.

• Current Periodicals & Newspapers

  Located in the South Reading Room on the second floor, the Current Periodicals and Newspapers desk provides assistance in locating current issues of periodicals and newspapers.

• Document Center

  The Document Center reference desk provides assistance in using government publications, business reference materials, maps, and aerial photographs.

• Information Technology Center

  The Knight Library ITC provides UO students, faculty and staff with access to a variety of computer software and resources. The ITC's equipment includes approximately 70 computer workstations, with a mix of Windows and Macintosh computers.

• Interlibrary Loan

  Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides service by assisting patrons in borrowing materials from other library collections.

• Media Services

  At the Media Service desk, faculty and students can check out equipment, can access professional equipment and software, and receive instruction and consultation from experienced staff.

• Microforms
  FIRST FLOOR (541) 346-3080

  The Microforms service desk helps users in accessing microfilm, microfiche and microprint formats. There are in current service six reader/printer machines for microfilm and microfiche, four manual and two motorized microfilm readers, twelve microfiche readers, and one Microprint reader.

• Music Douglass Room

  The Douglass Listening Room provides facilities for listening to recordings that are available in the Music Services collection.

• Music Reference

  The Music Services service desk provides assistance in using the UO Library's collection of music materials, including music scores, music periodicals, and music and spoken word recordings.

• Reference Desk

  The library's main reference desk is the place for library users to obtain reference service in general areas, the social sciences, and the humanities.

• Reserves and Videos Desk

  This service desk provides access to materials that have been placed on reserve for specific courses, and access to the library's video collection. Facilities are available for viewing videos on-site

• Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room

  Materials housed in Special Collections and University Archives are requested through staff at the Reading Room desk, who also provide research assistance related to these collections. Materials may only be used within the Reading Room.
