The Consulting office in Scholarly Communications and Instructional Support supports faculty in integrating technology into teaching by providing individual consulting and training to UO faculty members and GTFs. Assistance is provided with multimedia, online communication and collaborative learning tools.
Checkout/Information Desk

The Checkout/Information Desk is where library users may check out materials from the general collections of the Knight Library, register to borrow materials (for non UO patrons), discuss library fines and bills, and renew materials See Borrowing at the UO Libraries for more detail. This service desk is located near the north (main) entrances into the building.

At the Media Service desk, faculty and students can check out equipment, can access professional equipment and software, and receive instruction and consultation from experienced staff.
Computer Help Desk

The Computer Help Desk provides assistance to Library patrons with issues regarding computing in the Library. Assistance is available with software loaded on Library computers; scanning, printing (including wireless printing connections for students) in the Library; connection to the University's wireless for students, staff, and faculty; password troubleshooting; and student assistance with Blackboard.
Microforms

The Microforms service desk helps users in accessing microfilm, microfiche, and microprint formats. There are in current service 4 reader/printer machines for microfilm and microfiche with one ScanGear Utility for MS400/500 attached to a reader, 3 manual and 3 motorized microfilm readers, 3 microfiche readers, 2 Microprint readers, and 2 Microfilm Scan Pro1000 machines capable of scanning microfilm, microfiche and microprint and with the ability to print, scan to a hard drive and a USB drive.
Music Douglass Room

The Douglass Listening Room provides facilities for listening to recordings that are available in the Music Services collection.
Music Reference

The Music Services service desk provides assistance in using the UO Library's collection of music materials, including music scores, music periodicals, and music and spoken word recordings.
Reference/Information Desk

The library's main reference desk is the place for library users to obtain reference service in general areas, the social sciences, and the humanities.
Reserves and Videos Desk

This service desk provides access to materials that have been placed on reserve for specific courses, and access to the library's video collection. Facilities are available for viewing videos on-site
Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room
SECOND FLOOR NORTH (541) 346-3068

Materials housed in Special Collections and University Archives are requested through staff at the Reading Room desk, who also provide research assistance related to these collections. Materials may only be used within the Reading Room.
