UO Scholars' Bank Earns International Recognition

The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain, has named Scholars' Bank, the University of Oregon's repository for intellectual output, the fifth best institutional repository in the world and the ninth best international repository of any kind.

The rankings for all institutions can be found at http://repositories.webometrics.info/top300_rep.asp.

The world repository rankings are a part of the CSIC's efforts to support Open Access initiatives and the free access to scientific publications in an electronic form and to other academic material.

There are more than 7,000 items in the UO Scholars' Bank. These items constitute materials submitted to the repository by more than fifty different "communities" affiliated with the university. A list of current depositors in Scholars' Bank can be viewed at https://scholarsbank.uoregon.edu/dspace/community-list.
