More than 100 years of Olympic Trials and track and field history at the University of Oregon are on display in an exhibit in Knight Library entitled “Leadership and Legacy: Olympic Tradition in Track Town USA.”

Scholars' Bank Surpasses 5,000 Documents - (April 30, 2008)
Scholars' Bank, the University of Oregon's repository for intellectual output, now contains over 5,000 entries. The database's store of searchable items has grown exponentially since its establishment in 2003, more than doubling in size over the past two years.

New UO Portland Library and Learning Commons Reflects Exciting Changes in Library Research - (April 8, 2008)
The UO Portland Library and Learning Commons opened earlier this month in the White Stag block of downtown Portland. This new branch of the UO Libraries reflects the dramatic changes occurring in the form and function of top-tier research and academic libraries across the nation.

Library Honors Japanese American Students Receiving Honorary Degrees after WWII Relocation - (April 4, 2008)
The UO Libraries has mounted an exhibit to honor nineteen Japanese American students who recently received honorary degrees. The students were forced to leave the university during World War II as part of a relocation program. The exhibit displays Japanese American Student Council Relocation Records from Special Collections & University Archives.

UO Symposium on Computational Thinking in Education Scheduled for Friday, April 11 - (March 14, 2008)
A free symposium for UO faculty and GTFs on computational thinking and its relation to teaching and academics is scheduled for Friday, April 11, in the Browsing Room of Knight Library.

New Resource on Trauma Studies Available - (March 13, 2008)
The UO Department of Psychology and the UO Libraries have teamed up to create an important new digital collection of ground-breaking medical and scientific literature in the field of dissociation and trauma. Dissociation and Trauma Archives contains the full text of many articles appearing in key journals published between 1862 and 1922.
