Material documenting the development of more than a century of music about Oregon and its people is on display in the Music Services reference area on the third floor of Knight Library. Original items and reproductions drawn from the library’s Oregon Music Collection give insight into the varied musical forms that define the music of Oregon after statehood was granted in 1859.
Living Learning Center Display Features Campaign Theme Songs - (August 13, 2008)
The next time you hear a rousing rendition of a presidential campaign theme song during the 2008 election, don't assume that you're what you're hearing is a modern phenomenon. You can get an idea of just how long campaign theme songs have been around by visiting a display entitled "Presidential Election Campaign Songs" located near the Information Desk (north of the DUX Bistro) in the university's Living Learning Center.

UO Libraries Welcomes New Hires to the Portland Branch - (June 9, 2008)
The UO Libraries welcomes new staff members Karen Munro and Peter Gunn to the UO Portland Library and Learning Commons. As head of the new branch library, Munro will be responsible for library operations. Gunn, the new technology services manager, will oversee technology at the Portland branch.
UO Libraries Launches Building Oregon Architectural Database - (June 5, 2008)
Architecture buffs and Oregon aficionados alike will be pleased to learn that the UO Libraries has launched Building Oregon, an electronic database containing more than 12,000 images and documentation, with a projected 14,000 records by fall quarter. This new database focuses on the architectural heritage of the Pacific Northwest with special emphasis on Oregon’s built environment.

Art & Architecture Image Collection Surpasses 50,000 Images - (June 2, 2008)
The UO Libraries is proud to announce that the Art & Architecture Image Collection is now home to more than 50,000 images. The online database, which was first transferred to digital technology last year, allows users to access high-resolution images of art, architecture, and other cultural objects.
