Saving records for importing: JSTOR
Note: With this method you will be saving records from a database in text format and then importing them into EndNote. You do not need to search and save items from the database on the same computer that has EndNote program.
- To save your Saved Citation List to a local file, select "citation-manager\" format from the top or bottom of the Saved Citations List, then choose "Export.\" (If you prefer, you can also email your saved citations to yourself for future use.) A window will open, asking you where you would like to save your JSTOR citations. Make a note of the location and filename you choose because you will have to refer to this file later, during the import process.
- From database, mark records to keep.
- Chose View Saved Citations
- Export Citations as text file in citation manager format
- The citations will be displayed.
- Use your browser's File, and Save As features. Be certain that file is saved in text (*.txt) format.
- Import into EndNote using appropriate filter
