n describing the work for the commission in a letter of March 12, 1982, Ecklund wrote: "'Emergence' exhibits the attributes of confidence or self-assuredness and appears unencumbered. This young woman is poised at rest, just prior to departing. It would seem that she is indeed ready to emerge.
