THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON

Drill Hall

Architect: Lawrence and Holford.

History

World War I necessitated the construction of this building which was converted to an open-air gym in 1919. It was located next to the Men's Gymnasium (now the site of Columbia Hall) built in 1909. After years of serving a variety of athletic needs, it was destroyed in 1935 to make way for the new Infirmary (now Volcanology).
