Survey Data: Polling and Public Opinion

UO researchers interested in locating public opinion data may want to check out the following sources.

• Lexis-Nexis Academic has a section on polling data from the Roper Center: select Reference from the main search page, then Polls & Surveys. (access restricted to UO faculty and students only)
• The Data Services Lab is the campus unit responsible for providing access to data from the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), which includes a great deal of public opinion research.
• The Gallup Poll (Free site only. The UO does not have a subscription to the Gallup Poll on Demand service.)
• Oregon Survey Research Laboratory was a University of Oregon institute which conducted public opinion research in the state of Oregon. The OSRL ceased operations in Summer 2005, but the archive of study results is archived in the Libraries' Scholars Bank digital collection.
