Most reels contain single dissertations. The inventory is arranged by entry number, 1-524. Entries include author, title, publisher, date, and (in some instances) the subject headings that were assigned when the work was cataloged. Social Science Microfilm. Titles in the Social Science Microfilm collection were acquired by the UO Library prior to 1980, and include works published between 1950 and 1977. Most reels contain single dissertations, chiefly in the fields of history, economics, anthropology, and sociology. There are, however, a small number of large multi-reel sets. Among these you may find the 177 reel Right Wing Collection (SOC 566). The inventory is arranged by entry number, 1-615. Entries include author, title, publisher, date, and (in some instances) the subject headings that were assigned when the work was cataloged. Entries for major sets may also include references to finding aids. No records for these works appear in the UO Library's online catalog.
Tests in Microfiche (TIM) . (MICROFICHE LB3051.T44). Begun in 1975, Tests in Microfiche is an annual series of unpublished research instruments that have been cited in the educational and psychological literature and which the authors have agreed to make available in microfiche format through the Test Collection at Educational Testing Service. Each set consists of approximately 20-25 instruments. Older sets contain more than 100 titles. Each set covers a wide variety of topics and subjects, including such areas as self concept, attitudes, personality traits. Sets include instruments appropriate for diverse populations, such as infants, adults, Spanish speakers, and physically challenged people. Finding aid: Cumulative Index to Tests in Microfiche 1975-1987 (Sets A-M) (REFERENCE LB 3051 .T453 1975/87) and The ETS Test Collection Catalog (REFERENCE LB 3051 .E79 1986). The Test Collection Catalog is not a finding aid to the microfiche collection alone but to many resources; check the "availability" field for each entry before going to the microfiche set to seek the item.
