FIG: Freshman Interest Group

The purpose of this page is to provide students with a basic guide to the resources available in the Knight Library for finding information on your research topics.

Finding Books

To find books, search the UO Library Catalog. The best first step to find books on your topics is to search by keywords.

If you know the author's name or the title of a book, you may search by the author or by title.

FINDING ARTICLES

Indexes provide citations to articles in selected scholarly journals, general interest magazines, and newspapers. The following indexes focus on topics in the field of business. The most recent periodicals are often kept in the Current Periodicals area (on the 2nd floor).

Once you find the citation of an article, you need to search he library's online catalog, to find the call number of a journal or magazine. Current periodicals are on the second floor, Current Periodical Room, arranged by call numbers.

Information on Cultures
