The University of Oregon Libraries hold numerous primary source
collections on various topics and in various formats. Included are rare
books, facsimile and online editions of literary and historic works, the
Oregon Collection of books and periodicals, personal manuscripts of
individuals, archival records of the University and other organizations,
architectural drawings, original artwork, and more. This page will help

University Archives consists of permanent records, university
publications, papers of noted faculty, university related photographs,
and documents of student life. Archival research assistance is
available in the historic Paulson Reading Room in Special Collections and

Publications written at the time of an event often reflect individual
perspectives and direct observations. The UO Libraries maintain an
extensive collection of newspapers, including Oregon newspapers on
microfilm, searchable with Oregon newspaper indexes. More >>
The UO Libraries collect facsimile editions of important works in print,
microfilm, or online formats. Many are housed in

. Printed editions are housed in the general collections of the Knight
Library and in branch libraries. Major online collections in facsimile

The United States government is reputed to be the largest publisher in
the world. The Document Center on the 1st floor of the Knight Library
holds a wealth of government information from the U.S. and beyond.
