The following is intended to give exhibit liaisons guidance on assisting exhibitors.
- Be in touch with your exhibitors early on to begin planning. Six months will give you plenty of time. Designing an exhibit often takes longer than expected. See the Exhibits Countdown Calendar for a suggested timeline.
- Double check install and uninstall dates to avoid mix-ups with the previous and next exhibits.
- Direct your exhibitor to the guide What Every Exhibitor Should Know.
- Get the exhibit case template (not yet available as of 12/30/05) from the committee Chair and give to exhibitor.
- Check the Exhibits Toolkit under the far west case and contact the Exhibits Chair for replacement items at least a week before the exhibit is installed.
- Double check with Exhibits Chair to make sure special supplies have been ordered. You both should have received the request from your exhibitor.
- Check for burnt out light bulbs. Contact Shipping & Receiving at 346-1903. They will replace them.
- Sound: Chair should check with Andrew Bonamici, bonamici@uoregon.edu, for permission. Usually limited to one exhibit per year due to permanent installation of Soundscape.
- You should be available to answer questions, but you don't need to be physically involved in the exhibit.
- Arrange with Image Services to have pictures taken to document the exhibit.
- Return the exhibit case template to the Committee Chair.
- Write Thank You letter to exhibit lead. See Thank Yous folder in ExhibitsCommittee on Poison for examples. Contact committee Chair to have her/him print and sign it.
- Write brief exhibit review and post to Exhibit Reviews folder on Poison. See folder for previous examples.
