Russian and East European Arts on the World Stage

An exhibit offering a look into the world of art and culture as represented in ballet, theater, literature, and cinema in Russia and Eastern Europe is on display in the entryway corridors to Knight Library.  A bonus panel provides insight into the UO’s connections to the region and other areas of the world through the UO-based UNESCO Center for Intercultural Dialogue, established in 2008 by Steven Shankman.

Entitled "Russian and East European Arts, World Stage," the display is being held in conjunction with a Russian and East European conference running May 17-19 at the UO. Full information on the conference, which is cosponsored by the UO Libraries, is at http://reees.uoregon.edu/.

Other current exhibits:

An exhibit entitled "Many Faces, Many Voices, One Oregon" is currently on display in various locations in Knight Library. The exhibit, developed by the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity, consists of several banners with images of students, faculty, and staff at the UO. Accompanying text tells each person's story, revealing the diversity and multiplicity of interests found on campus. An online version of the exhibit can be found at http://diversity.uoregon.edu/many-faces.
