Wayne and Midge Morse were married on June 18, 1924 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Western Union carried the trans-continental negotiations between Morse and Law School Dean Charles Carpenter.

Although Morse's first two years as a law professor did not always go smoothly, he was popular enough to be the student choice for Dean of the Law School.
