Voices: A Survival Manual for Wimmin (Kenora, Ontario, Canada) "The impetus for starting this paper came from the needs of 3 wimmin who formed the first collective: Doreen Worden, Yvette Parr & Isabel Andrews. We began with an agreement: 1) to stress, in our content, personal support for wimmin, especially lesbians, rather than narrow political viewpoints. 2) to publish as cheaply as possible (no grant money) & to publish in Kenora. 3) to try to place out personal needs above the demands of production." " We focus on SELF-HEALING, DEFINING OUR PAST & PRESENT, BUILDING PATTERNS FOR OUR FUTURE. We face a human-created environment which is increasingly hostile to health & peace of mind. We believe there are resources to help us cope. So this manual is all about 'Old & Young Wimmin's Tales'."
