Over the years, the UO baseball team was referred to by a number of different names:

The lemon and green Green and yellow batters
The nine Diamond crew
Varsity nine Horsehiders
Oregon nine Webfoot baseballers
Lemon Yellow diamond artists Oregon baseball squad
Lemon yellow nine Webfeet

And, of course, THE DUCKS!

In a 1932 election, students overwhelmingly chose Webfoots at the official UO mascot. The term Ducks did not become more widely used than Webfoots until after World War II.
