1954: The Best Season in UO Varsity Baseball History

Coach Don Kirsch’s baseball team, after edging out Oregon State for the Northern Division crown for the second year in a row, played hosts in the Western NCAA regionals at Howe Field. Wins over Seattle University and Fresno State moved the Ducks into the NCAA finals where they were finally eliminated in the "college world series" (1955 Oregana).
