Researching Using Microfilm

Using the resources at the University of Oregon's Knight Library I was able to request microfilm of the newspapers from the various towns the All Stars played in. In most cases I was able to get complete box scores and write-ups of each game and with that information I generated the statistics below.The All Stars dominated, hitting .348 compared to their opponent's .187 average. All Star pitching didn't fair too badly either with a team earned run average of 1.77! As there were 3 games that I wasn't able to get complete box scores for the tour totals are incomplete.
