2002 Committee membership:

Accomplishments:

• Continued meetings on campus-level diversity issues at Diversity Team monthly meetings and involvement on UO's Diversity Web Committee (Mark Tracy was facilitator until he left Spring 2002).

   

• Attempted to create "Non-traditional Students" page for MRG that didn't get any input from Katy Lenn/Reference Dept. or campus-level.

   

• Hosted "The Way Home" event in the Browsing Room, May 22, 2002

   

• Submitted Spanish-language GTF proposal (request denied for this year)-we should try to re-submit again for this year.

   

Created Week of Welcome exhibit in Knight Library, August 10-October 31, 2002. Theme: Welcome to the University of Oregon Libraries : Connecting Diverse Resources with a Diverse Community. Associated websites were created about the display ( http://libweb.uoregon.edu/diversity/exhibits/display2002/index.html) and a "UO Authors" site (http://libweb.uoregon.edu/aaa/facpub/ --site no longer maintained)

 

• Continued Diversity Doings articles in LSA Newsletter when it is published. Special interview with former staff member, Lee McQueen, appeared in August 2002 issue as an appeal for donations to ALA's Spectrum Scholarship Program.

   

• All LDC minutes were put on the Library's intranet

   

• Commenced updating online Multicultural Resources Guide
