Collections
The fundamental aspect of The Labor Project has been the identification and classification of the numerous
labor-related collections already housed at the Department of Special Collections at the Knight Library. While this
work is ongoing, approximately one hundred collections have been identified as relevant to the history of labor and
the working-class in the Northwest and can be searched on this website. These holdings include private papers, arbitration
records, corporate and organizational records, and political materials. The collections relate predominately to the history
of Oregon, but several holdings are regional in scope and several relate the history of Midwestern and Eastern labor and
political movements.
