Collaborative Workstations

The Library Learning Commons features six high-performance collaborative workstations for small groups of UO students working together on technology-based projects. Software is the same as that provided on Windows stations in the Knight Library ITC and on Academic Stations throughout the UO Libraries..

Policies and Procedures

  • Four Windows PC and two Mac workstations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • One WIndows PC workstation is available for reservation by advance booking. Name, UO ID number and Library PIN are required to use the advance booking function.
  • Groups have priority over individual users for all collaborative workstations.
  • Academic activities such as UO course assignments, tutorial sessions, library research, and creative media development have priority over casual or recreational uses including but not limited to games, e-mail, or general web browsing.
  • Current UO network i.d. is required. Log in using your UO username (yourname@uoregon.edu) and password.
  • When finished with your session, save your work to your UO network account or to other media such as a USB thumb drive.
  • Networked printing is available; a Campus Cash account is required. More >>
  • For security and as a courtesy to other users, be sure to log out and close all applications and browser windows.
  • Questions? Tech support is available from consultants at the Reference and Information desk. Ask a librarian for help finding and using the best scholarly resources for your collaborative project.
