Software
We provide a variety of video and audio editing tools for both the Macintosh and Windows platforms, and will gladly walk you through their use. The software applications we have available include
- Apple Final Cut Pro
Apple's profesional video editing package has become a major challenger to Premiere over the last few years. It offers a wide range of advanced editing features including color adjustment and animation capabilities exceeding those of Premiere. It also has excellent compatibility with our Firewire camera. We have the latest version for our G4 PowerMac editing station.
- Vegas Video
A slightly less complex package than Premiere for Windows, Vegas Video has a unique editing style that is focused more on the intergration of video with audio.
- Apple iMovie
Apple has changed the video market with this little application. It ships standard with most Macs now, and provides an easy, yet powerful editing tool to a consumer audience. It is ideal for most simple video capture and editing tasks.
- Apple QuickTime Pro
The full version of QuickTime allows for conversion between most formats of video, audio, and image files. It offers a wide range of compression and output options.
- Apple QuickTime VR
QuickTime VR is a technology that can be used to create interactive 3D spaces that users can navigate through and look around. It uses panoramic images to create this effect.
- Adobe SoundEdit
One of the oldest and most widely used audio editing applications, SoundEdit has many simple audio editing capabilities. You can use it on our Macintosh system.
- Peak DV Audio
Peak DV is an audio application that works in conjunction with Final Cut Pro. It offers most standard audio editing features, along with the ability to view your Final Cut Pro video footage while editing, making sychronization of sound effects significantly easier.
- SoundForge
SoundForge is a powerful audio editing suite. It offers the most audio editing options of all our sound applications, and can take advantage of the real-time echo and distortion effects of our SoundBlaster Live card in our Windows editing station.
- Pristine Audio
The primary function of this Windows application is to clean up audio, by removing annoying background noise or clicks and pops for sharper sound.
