New Name, Same Services! Classroom Technologies and Educational Video are now joined by Interactive Media Development to form the Center for Media and Educational Technologies (CMET). Other services formerly associated with the Center for Educational Technologies (consulting and training for instructors, Workshops on Demand, and Blackboard support) are now provided by a new department, Scholarly Communications and Instructional Support. Please pardon the construction as we rebuild our web sites.

The UO Libraries' Center for Media and Educational Technologies (CMET) provides the University community with classroom technology, educational video support, and interactive media development for teaching/learning, research, public service, and outreach. Services include:

    • On-call support for UO classrooms
    • Technology training for instructors
    • State-of-the-art classroom hardware, software, and presentation systems
    • Equipment for checkout by students and faculty
    • Videoconferencing and distance education facilities
    • Video production and distribution systems
    • Database-driven websites and multimedia
    • Web and multimedia design and development

CMET's team of technical and creative professionals also provide:
    • Consultation in design of teaching and event facilities
    • Specification, acquisition, and installation of media equipment
    • Instructional Design and Hybrid Course Development
    • Learning Object research, design and development
    • Information Architecture and Usability testing for website and interactive media
