Do you have an idea for improving student learning or your teaching that involves the use of instructional technology? Would you like to have the support and resources to make that idea a reality?
The Center for Educational Technologies supports instructional technology projects that directly improve courses at the University of Oregon. We are currently accepting proposals for new projects.
If you expect to teach a UO CRN course during the 2007-08 academic year, and if have an idea for using online technology to enhance your course, then we would like to talk to you now about how we can help you implement your vision.
Send us a brief description of the course you want to rework, the teaching problem you want to solve, and your thoughts on how technology could be used to address it. We'll schedule a meeting with you to learn more and will work with you to develop a specific implementation plan and timeline. If your project is one we can assist with, we'll work with you to realize your vision. Not sure whether technology is an appropriate remedy for the problems you are solving? Contact us to discuss!

Find out more about CET on our website, at http://libweb.uoregon.edu/cet/.
CET's Interactive Media team collaborates with faculty to develop websites, Blackboard sites, online learning objects and tutorials, and interactive media that support their courses. Our overall goal is to help UO faculty and instructors explore innovative ways of using technology to engage students in active learning and to enhance learning outcomes. We typically work on a "project" basis, undertaking 2 to 3 instructional projects every six months. Although projects vary in size and scope, they often involve several person-weeks of development labor by CET staff. A project would typically begin with planning, requirements gathering, and content creation, with substantial faculty member involvement, followed by design, development, testing and delivery. If you're interested in making changes to your course for next year, now is the time to get started!
