CD & DVD Mastering

Use our equipment to make a CD or DVD to hold your multimedia presentation or project, back up your important data, or create a master copy for future volume reproduction. We can help you make single copies of Mac, PC, or audio CD-ROMs, and data and movie DVDs.

Our hardware includes

  • 933 MHz PowerMac G4 with a SuperDrive 8x CD/DVD writer. Installed on this machine is Toast 5 Titanium that allows the creation of data discs, audio discs, as well as video CDs for playing back VHS quality video on computers and many home DVD players.

  • 900 MHz Pentium III Windows 2000 Professional workstation with a 16x CD-ROM writer. Very quick!

  • 700 MHz Pentium III Gateway Windows 2000 Professional workstation with an 8x CD-ROM writer.

  • 400 MHz PowerMac G3 with a Yamaha 4x Phillips CDR recorder .

You can purchase recordable CDs (CD-Rs) at the University Bookstore or at the Computing Center's Help Desk in 151 McKenzie Hall. We can refer you to other resources for volume publication of CD-ROMs.

NOTE: We do not allow the copying of copyrighted material (except as permitted within the "fair use" provisions of copyright law) without written permission from the copyright owner. CD-ROMs can generally be burned only if you have created the data or music. See our Copyright Resources page for more information.
