Our talented staff is here to help instructors learn to use new software and hardware, design and develop instructional media, solve specific instructional technology problems, and devise more efficient ways to work with new technology in educational settings.

All of the staff have a wide range and depth of skills and experience, but each also has their own interests and specialties. Stop by and meet them; you'll find them ready and eager to work with you.

JQ Johnson
Director
In addition to leading the CET, JQ is responsible for coordinating faculty technology training campus-wide, plus participates in a variety of library technology initiatives. JQ's primary areas of expertise are in web publishing, the Blackboard system, network and communications software, and copyright law. He also notes that he's a (rusty) Unix systems programmer and a linux/Mac/PC geek.


Kirstin Hierholzer
Kirstin HierholzerAssistant Director
While assisting JQ with the overall operation and direction of CET, Kirstin manages CET Interactive Media in its day to day operation. As part of the Interactive Media team, Kirstin contributes to project work as a project manager, instructional designer, information architect and usability professional.


Tim Boshart
Tim BoshartBlackboard Coordinator
Tim joined CET in 2005 to manage the UO's Blackboard learning management system and provide coordination and central support for the Blackboard Software.




Nargas Oskui
Nargas OskuiManager, CET Consulting
In addition to managing the Consulting side of CET, Nargas is a doctorate student in the College of Education. She is pursuing a specialized degree in Educational Technology. Previously Nargas coordinated the Information Technology Centers. She currently facilitates the CSTDAC (Classified Staff Training and Development Advisory Committee) Excel Mentor Group, Workshops on Demand service and provides Blackboard user-end support amongst other duties.

Shayne Huddleston

Shayne HuddlestonInstructional Technology Consultant, CET Interactive Media
As CET:IM's techical lead, Shayne splits his time between web programming, client consultation, and research into emerging web technologies. Shayne has a strong interest in all aspects of computing and is excited to be a part of the continuing integration between technology and education.


Azle Malinao-Alvarez
Azle Malinao-AlvarezInstructional Technology Consultant, CET Interactive Media
Azle graduated from the University of Oregon with a BFA in Visual Design. She joined CET in 2001 and has been involved in developing interactive courseware for research and instruction. Some of her interest include photography, mix media art, bookbinding, screen and relief printing, web development and being an all around ubber geek.


David McCallum
David McCallumInstructional Technology Consultant, CET Interactive Media

As a designer/developer, David enjoys working to design projects that allow clients to get their message across and to explore new ways of communicating. He calls himself a practical experimenter. Favorite tools are those in Adobe Creative Suite family and Studio. Interests include cinema, media studies, music and visual literacy.
