This page is intended to facilitate communication between the members of the Steering Committee for Scholars' Bank. This group began as the Institutional Repository Group, convened as part of a UO Libraries initiative. The original group was co-chaired by JQ Johnson and Carol Hixson.

Charge of the Original Institutional Repository Group:


Gather background information on emerging institutional repositories; survey campus for potential pilot project; move forward on any opportunity for implementation. Develop a plan for implementation during 2004 and a long-term budget model.

Expected Results: The campus and library will have a greater awareness of the concepts/benefits/costs of institutional repositories. Library personnel will gain experience with at least one of the alternative software options.
