What We Do
Catalog monographs in English and other Western European languages
- Upgrade minimal-level cataloging copy
- Supply LC Subject Headings and call numbers
- Verify name, uniform title, series and subject access points in catalog records and edit to conform with authorized forms
- Create original bibliographic records
- Create authority records for names, series and uniform titles
- Propose new LC Subject Headings to the Library of Congress
- Catalog non-serial electronic resources
- Participate in digital library projects
Act as liaison between QuickCat and LT3 catalogers
- Resolve questions and problems related to the QuickCat workflow
- Monitor the number of items referred to the "LT3 shelf"
- Keep catalogers and Acquisitions staff informed of developments that will impact the flow of materials to and from the LT3 shelf
