The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service obtains materials not owned by the UO Libraries for students, faculty, staff, and others. We also lend UO materials to other libraries. Through cooperative lending agreements with libraries throughout the world we provide access to millions of items not available locally.
For information about how to request these materials see Making Interlibrary Loan Requests.
Submit an ILL request:
For quickest delivery, first check Summit. If not available to you there, use WorldCat to place your request. Article requests should be submitted through a FirstSearch database or other electronic indices by using the

For the few items you cannot locate in those resources use the following forms. Holders of Oregon Cards may also use these forms to submit ILL requests:
The Orbis Cascade Alliance is a consortium of libraries in Oregon and Washington and includes the Center for Research Libraries (CRL). These institutions have combined the holdings of their library catalogs into a single catalog named Summit, and have made agreements concerning reciprocal on-site borrowing privileges for their faculty, students, and staff.
Summit Borrowing allows current faculty, staff, and students from the UO to request items from other Orbis Cascade libraries to be sent to the UO.
Requesting a Summit item:
Summit Loan Periods and Renewals:
