Article Delivery service

The UO Libraries offers an online article delivery service to all UO faculty, and to UO students and staff who live more than 30 miles from Eugene and do not come to campus for work or class. Eligible individuals may request articles, book chapters, and other excerpts from UO owned print materials. Articles are usually provided within 3 days.

For the quickest delivery, use FindText.

To request an article, look up the citation in any of the library's online article indexes, then click the FindText journal articles link. If the article appears in a print journal the library owns, and is not already available in electronic format, eligible users may request delivery by selecting the "UO Faculty and Distance Ed" link.

Alternatively, choose the Journal Titles tab in the library's homepage search box, click the FindText link that appears, enter complete citation information on the form, and proceed from there.

To request book chapters or articles that can not be located using our FindText service, please request using ILLiad.     Place a request for book chapter or article and in the notes field enter: "faculty document delivery."

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code), governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order, if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
