Eligibility
Faculty Studies are available to University of Oregon faculty, including emeriti, adjunct, courtesy and visiting scholars, who are engaged in specific research projects that require extensive use of print library materials. These rooms are not intended as offices or conference space, or as group study rooms. Depending on demand, two or three faculty may be assigned to each room.
Application Process
Application forms are available in Rm. 115, Library Administration, Knight Library. A $10.00 refundable key deposit is required. Keys should not be duplicated or loaned to another individual. If for any reason a faculty study holder leaves the university for an extended period of time, i.e., for sabbatical, teaching exchange, or matters of a personal nature, the study shall be vacated and key returned to Library Administration.
Studies are assigned for the length of time the faculty requests the room, but no longer than one year (four consecutive terms). An email reminding the occupant when the room assignment ends will be sent during the last term of use. Extension requests will be considered based on available space and need.
Regulations for Use of Faculty Studies
